I am sure there is someone who would be foiolsh enough to lend you money and put a lien on your house, but they will make you pay. You should make an attempt to clean up your credit before putting in your loan application. My husband and I are in the middle of purchasing our first house, we don't have bad credit, but there were a couple of things on our credit report that we needed to take care of. You'd be surprised what you could do by making some phone calls. Take care of that situation and it will be easier to convince a reputable lender to give you money as opposed to someone who will rip you off. Good Luck.
